Talking about Add Two Lines

Posted by Leask on June 3, 2005

很有诗意的一首英文诗,作者写了一个开头,然后让网友补完整的。

一下子让我想起一句话:“网聚人的力量”

现在引用过来和大家分享。

Add Two Lines

I have been trying to write some more poems for you guys but I have had an awful case of writer's block and the words just won't come out. So I came up with this idea that I will start the poem, and you guys can help me finish it. I don't care if it is sad, happy, serious, or whatever, just as long as it rhymes. And if you aren't sure how to write poetry, here is a quick lesson: Take the famous

1. Roses are red

2. Violets are blue

3. Sugar is sweet

4. And so are you.

There are four lines in a stanza. Lines 1 and 3 do not have to rhyme, but lines 2 and 4 do. So I will start off by writing the first two lines and you (if you choose to do so) will add the last two lines which will rhyme with what I just wrote. The next person will then begin another stanza, which doesn't have to rhyme with the previous one, and so on and so on. If you need an example, just check out a few of my poems listed in my category box. I will leave this posted for awhile (see the top right hand corner of my space), so will you please help me write a poem? And feel free to come back and add more if you'd like. (Or if this idea sucks, just say so in the comment box.)

The first two lines are (I will add the others as they come in):

Here I sit,

looking up at the sky.

The breeze softly ruffles

the scent from the pine.

As sounds of the wilderness,

calling me to join the joy.

Creativity lost in my mind,

nature's silence is only a ploy.

Watching the leaves

fall slowly to the ground

Calls the image,

of a life without a bound.

So I walk among the trees

and feel the breeze pass by.

I live only to please,

I wish only to fly.

Feel the wind at my back,

the leaves at my feet.

As darkness begins to fall,

the moon starts to creep.

The night keeps falling,

the day starts to die.

Why am I so lonely,

what makes me cry?
